Travel Lodge Liverpool Street

Not only does the Travel Lodge, Liverpool Street, London offer affordable accommodation whilst visiting London.  It can act as the perfect base for visiting all that this vibrant capital city has to offer.  However, if you would like to and have the time available why not hop on one of the train's and venture away from the city's bright lights.

In fact within a short space of time after boarding a train at Liverpool Street Station you can be on the beach and enjoying the fun of the fair in Southend on Sea.  Along with its pleasure park (Adventure Island) which will hopefully keep the kid's amused there is plenty of more things for one to do and see.

Why not spend some time strolling along the world's longest pleasure pier.  Southend's pier is 1.33 meters long and although originally built from wood back in 1830 this was eventually replaced with the iron pier that you see today back in 1875.  Yet although the pier has caught fire three times it still stands as a testament to the skills of the Victorian engineers.  However, if you feel that a walk along its entire length may just be too much then why not catch the train instead.

However, after you will find that the sea air will make you hungry and luckily for you there are plenty of good restaurants along the sea front offering a wide variety of meals.  Look for those restaurants especially where freshly caught fish is being served and one such restaurant to try is the Fisherman's Wharf, which is located on the Western Esplanade.
